You may create an account using email, Apple, or Google authentication. Guest access is available in read‑only mode. You agree to provide accurate information and to maintain the security of your account.

3. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Engage in threats, harassment, hate speech, or illegal activities.
• Post sexual content, especially involving minors.
• Promote self‑harm, violence, or dangerous/illegal acts.
• Doxx or request personal data from others.
• Upload harmful, deceptive, or malicious content.
• Misuse the real‑time messaging or location‑based features.

4. User‑Generated Content

You retain ownership of the content you post. By using the Service, you grant PlaceChat a non‑exclusive license to display, store, process, and distribute your content as needed to operate the Service.

We may remove, hide, or restrict content that violates our policies. Highly downvoted messages may be automatically hidden.

5. Location Features

The Service uses your device location to show nearby places and chat channels. Your precise location is processed temporarily and not stored.

Disabling location access may limit certain features.

6. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Previously posted messages may remain visible, but your username and avatar will be removed and no longer associated with any messages.

7. License and Restrictions

PlaceChat grants you a limited, non‑transferable, revocable license to use the Service. You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) against the Service.
• Access the Service in a way that disrupts or harms performance.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or freedom from harmful content posted by other users.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlaceChat is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after updates indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which PlaceChat LLC is registered, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules.
